Day 6 - Friday March 6th: Texas Family

Friday morning we hung around with the Keatys in the morning until we felt the morning rush hour traffic was at least lighter. We left for June's niece's place in Round Rock around 08:45. The traffic was not horrible, but man do they have traffic in Texas!. 

We arrived at Mike and Cheryl's around 12:45. They live in a nice quiet neighborhood where we could park the RV and we all got into Cheryl's new 'ticket me bright blue' Honda and went to lunch at 'Jack Allen's Kitchen'. It was very good and we had a nice time catching up with Mike and Cheryl. Mike works for Samsung at the factory they were building in the 1990s when I used to come to Texas to meet with Cyrix when I worked with IBM. Its a small world and we speak the same language (semiconductors and microelectronics).

The Stebbins in Round Rock, Tx

We left the Stebbins about 14:00 to beat the heavy traffic on I35 South, that did not work. The traffic between Dallas and Austin is intense, I feel for the people who have to deal with it daily. 

Despite the traffic we arrived at Randy's around 16:00, unscathed. 

Parking at Ran and Sue's

We parked the Serenity in his driveway, it just fits. It was great to see brother Randy and my nephew Joe. Sue was out with her girl friends. 

After we settled, we set off to meet Sue and her friends at 'The Happy Cow', a local watering hole. 

We played darts and baseball pinball. The pinball machine was from the 1960's and still working, impressive. 

We returned to Ran and Sue's house for burgers and had a nice evening. June was the big loser of Jenga....
